Experience
Independent — Open source + freelance
Maintain bodega, stoop, crosstown, and driftwatch — about 7k stars between them and a respectfully triaged issue tracker.
Freelance design-and-build for Halstead Books, Pilcrow, Rockaway Surf Club, and the Fort Greene Supper Club. Fixed scope, clean handover, no retainers.
Apple — Senior Engineer, Apple Media Products
Owned the web audio pipeline for Apple Music’s browser player; took cold start from “go make tea” to under a second.
Ran the retirement of two legacy embed APIs without breaking partner integrations. Mostly.
Google — Software Engineer, Drive
Worked on Drive’s sync engine — owned conflict resolution and the offline queue for a few hundred million people who never noticed. That was the point.
On-call for a service measured in nine zeroes of requests. Slept fine, mostly.
Microsoft — Software Engineer, Azure
Azure portal front end, back when TypeScript was a beta and a bet. The bet aged well.
Shipped the resource-group billing view that, I’m told, is still in use. Sorry about the tabs.
